Soapy Sweets logo and label design
Task: create logotype and label design for the Soapy Sweets.
After seeing some of the boring bath products out there the client decided it was time for change. A sweet change. A world full of good, clean, fun. A place where your scrub is on your body and not just washed down the drain. The client wanted to create completely different packaging, which won’t look like a usual brown paper.
Unique Properties / Project Description:
The main goal of the existing packaging design is to represent brand in a fun and bubble way and invite byuers in a fascinating soapy adventure of bubbles. The aim is to show that organic products are much more than just using brown paper. They deserve to be vibrant. Using the unique combination of graphic elements, such as handwritten typography and fruit illustrations, that emphasizes individuality of target audience, which is young, fun and tend for a natural and safe skincare.
Operation / Flow / Interaction:
The aim of design concept is to show the customers that organic products could be impressively bright and fun to use. Moreover, all Soapy Sweets products have a fantastic scent and are all natural. No Parabens, No Phthalates, No SLS, No PEGs. Also there is no boring brown paper.
Production / Realization Technology:
All labels are printed using greenguard.org certified inks so they are looking pretty and earth friendly.
After making a research of competitors packaging, we realised that this industry segment has a deficite of bold and vibrant colors and quality design in overall. The important side of the project was searching a way to embrace the wide target audience of a modern young people, who care about their health and who are worrying about an origination of the ingredients which they consume, no matter is it refers to food or cosmetics. Also, significant hallmark of the Soapy Sweets buyers is that they are environmentalists, so they care about our Mother Earth. So finally we come to a desicion of making design concept bright and rainbow, just as our planet are. Furthermore, using bright colors emphasize using of various natural ingredients and bring joy and happines in an everyday skincare routine. Also, this design method gives customers a hint about a fantastic fragrance of that products and makes them more desired. The approach was to increase all this factors with a right combination of used fonts and illustrated graphics that made the product look good enough to eat!
The biggest challenge was to distinguish Soapy Sweets packaging from other similar brands and keep the design in a unique and recognizable style. One of the demands was keeping the design uniquely match to the essence of each product flavor, and yet still relevant to a target audience of a modern young people. I also permanently kept in mind of brand’s main idea: Just Simple, Natural Ingredients that Work.
